What We Stand For
Mission
‘Add colour to your own palette’
At Brede School Rembrandt, the development of our students comes first. Every child is seen, every talent is utilised, and everyone gets equal opportunities. As a school, we stand for high-quality education. We provide a trusted environment where creativity and ownership are encouraged. We teach students to be themselves, being responsible for their own palette of skills, so they can colour their unique portrait with personal materials.
Vision
‘Your talent, our Mastery’.
By showing ownership and creating space for themselves and others, our students take their own place. A place in the immediate environment, society, and the world. As individuals, but always in connection with and next to each other. Now and in the future.
Our Core Values
Our core values come from and are connected to our Protestant Christian foundation. They say a lot about how we want to interact with each other; children, parents, and the environment with all the challenges of our time.
Children develop even if we do nothing. Our education aims to support and direct them in that development towards the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to participate independently and responsibly in society. It’s important to collaborate and learn from each other so that students gain insight into themselves, others, and the world. This also applies to the staff, who continues to develop continuously in this way.
In our education, we see students as young people who already matter. We inspire them and stimulate their growth by taking them to places and people (through guest lectures and excursions), and in this way, they learn about different ways of being human. We remain genuinely curious about every student and have good expectations for each of them.
We motivate and challenge our students to create the society of tomorrow. To come up with imaginative solutions to issues and work well together to achieve set goals. In this way, they get to know their own talents and those of others even better. We give the children a solid foundation and belief in their abilities.
Our students know what responsibility is and are aware of their role. They learn to explain why they do something or not. They are involved and proactive, take initiative, and are owners of their learning process.
Everyone is welcome. Every student matters at our school. We embrace differences in background, gender, sexual orientation, age, faith, or belief. We provide an inclusive learning environment where all students have equal opportunities.
